What happens to the view under a Light Microscope?
Everything is mirrored under a light microscope. Always look opposite to what you do.
Mini grids
- Set of fine, evenly spaced lines on a microscope slide
- Enable us to measure the length of objects viewed under microscope
- Like tiny rulers with measurements that we can line up against the object we are viewing
A mini grid a 1 cm square
The grid is divided into 100 squares, each 1 mm square
The middle is divided into 100 even tinier squares, each only 0.1 mm (100 um) each way
(1 mm = 1000 um)
